As a member of the shipping department, the Shipping Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the shipping department. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth, and efficient shipping operations. The successful candidate will work out of our office located in Milton, ON.

Start Date: ASAP

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

• Provide daily administrative assistance to the shipping department.
• Assist with general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Shipping Documentation & Data Entry:

• Prepare and maintain shipping documents and related records.
• Input and update shipping and inventory data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Maintain accurate shipping logs and inventory movement records.

Shipment Coordination:

• Track outgoing shipments, resolving any issues or delays as they arise.
• Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, and Purchasing to ensure on-time deliveries.

Reporting:

• Assist in compiling reports on shipping performance.

Communication:

• Answer and direct phone calls, respond to shipping-related inquiries, and relay messages promptly.
• Ensure effective communication between internal teams and customers.

Compliance:

• Support adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and shipping standards.

Other Duties as Assigned by Management:

• Perform additional administrative or operational tasks to support the shipping department.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in administration/ logistics is an asset).

• 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably in shipping, logistics, or warehousing.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP systems.

• Strong attention to details and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role within a warehouse environment.
