The Asset Management Advisor plays a key role in shaping the future of Petro-Canada's Retail Network by supporting strategic investment decisions and optimizing the retail asset portfolio.

Working within the Sales & Marketing strategies and planning processes, you will evaluate and recommend investments including property acquisitions, new developments, sustaining capital projects, and potential divestitures. Through cross-functional collaboration, you will support informed capital allocation decisions that strengthen network performance and deliver optimal returns within approved capital plans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive business experience, preferably with direct experience in Sales & Marketing, economic analysis, commercial operations, and/or long-term planning roles
  • In-depth knowledge of economic evaluations principles
  • University degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics
  • Advanced stakeholder management, analytical, and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work on multiple shifting priorities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and develop recommendations to support network growth and portfolio optimization
  • Conduct market analysis and assess site performance to inform investment decisions or potential divestures
  • Lead the development and optimization of the Risk Mitigation and Compliance project portfolio, including long-range capital plans
  • Support the preparation of Capital and Expense Decision Support Packages for network investments and property related agreements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Corporate Economics
  • Support ad-hoc strategic analysis and cross-functional initiatives

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional site visits
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
