Business Development Associate
As our Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential clients. This position will report to the Vice President, Atlantic Canada and will involve gathering of intel to support business development. Assisting with the development of strategic connections and supporting the response to RFP’s with strategic writing. Our ideal candidate has experience in the physical security industry, or a related field, and is a self-starter who is highly motivated to drive business growth and develop new relationships.
This position will support our Atlantic Canada operations and could be based in Halifax, Moncton or St. John’s
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and generating leads through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking
- Evaluate and qualify leads based on predefined criteria and schedule meetings for appropriate Paladin stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lead interactions and progress in our CRM (HubSpot)
- Research companies and identify key decision-makers and influencers to target
- Work closely with the account management and marketing teams to align lead generation strategies with company goals
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs) related to outbound activities, lead conversion rates, and revenue targets
- Maintain a deep understanding Paladin's services to effectively communicate value propositions to prospects
- Continuously follow up on leads to nurture relationships and guide prospects through the sales funnel
- Preparing and responding to requests for proposals.
Requirements:
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or related industry (considered an asset)
- Experience in business development, with door-to-door sales and visiting client sites to generate leads - (specifically in B2B sales is a plus)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to present information clearly and persuasively
- Bilingual (French/English- considered an asset)
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sales software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) as well as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, or other lead-generation platforms
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field would be preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and craft solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle rejection, and stay motivated
- Note: This position will require a moderate amount of travel throughout Atlantic Canada.
