About the role
Parts Clerk TRAXX is a premium motor coach carrier that takes fleet maintenance seriously. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring we meet our commitments to our fleet operators and clients.
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, our new Parts Clerk will help take care of our internal customers and keep the maintenance activities on track in various important ways, ensuring the right things are in the right place at the right time.
Parts Clerks who have been successful for us in the past pay close attention to detail, are well organized, care deeply about doing things the right way, and are driven to solve problems for the customer and the business. Our ideal candidate will have two to three years of progressive experience in the service world from industries like as passenger transport, heavy industry, oilfield support, vehicles, manufacturing, etc.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Maintenance team with tracking parts and inventory. Order, receive, record and track the parts and inventory.
- Opens work orders as directed by the Maintenance leadership team and maintains control until the orders are closed and invoiced.
- Maintains the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under supervision of the Maintenance leadership team.
- Convey all necessary information regarding costs, parts, work and Technicians to the shop Supervisor.
- Enter the details of repair jobs on the company's network and prepare repair instructions.
- Maintains fleet maintenance records by recording problems and planning corrective actions.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
- Responsible for processing warranty and product improvement claims.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven work experience as a Parts Clerk or similar role
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and motorcoach maintenance processes is an asset
- Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office
- Proven ability to resolve issues in a timely, diplomatic, and effective manner
- Strong record-keeping skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices
- Strong communicator, verbal and written, with the ability to present well, be persuasive and express confidence in ideas
- Must be able to work onsite and travel (locally) to job sites. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of Parts Clerk experience or equivalent

- Indoor/outdoor environment.

- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manipulate hands and fingers to operate various specialized tools and equipment.
- Reach over the shoulder and horizontally to reach and place materials and equipment in certain areas.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, turning and twisting.
- Occasional carrying, pushing, or pulling boxes and engines.
- Crawling under vehicles.
- Clarity of vision at varying distances to observe diagnostic instruments, manuals, and other printed information.
- Perform physically demanding work.
- Working with various tools and powered machinery.

About the role
