Position
Specialist, Inventory Management, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Superintendent, Warehouse, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership by supervising daily inventory activities, approving key data and reports, and mentoring staff in SAP usage and inventory control practices;
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory procedures, including Min/Max levels, reorder points, and replenishment policies for Back River Sites;
- Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and operations to align inventory with operational needs through data analysis and demand forecasting;
- Oversee cycle counts and stockers at Back River Sites, ensuring timely variance resolution and standardized SAP data;
- Set and monitor inventory KPIs, review reports for compliance, and authorize material reclassification or disposal;
- Identify process improvements, delegate analytical tasks, and coordinate with vendors and teams to maintain accurate records and system updates; and
- Ensure compliance with B2Gold Nunavut policies and procedures and adherence to all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
- Minimum seven (7) years of inventory management or warehouse experience in mining, industrial, or heavy industry, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or senior inventory role;
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration; or a Material/Parts Technician journeyperson credential;
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or a relevant designation is a key asset; and
- Proficiency in SAP Materials Management and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Compensation and Benefits
For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $160,000.00
