Mechanic - Peace Canyon

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Field

Hourly Rate: $ 47.93

What you'll do

• A Journeyperson Mechanic shall install, operate, maintain, overhaul and repair mechanical equipment of all kinds, and

mechanical portions of electrical equipment in the Employer's electrical system exclusive of that in diesel generating

stations

What you bring

• A Machinist or Millwright trades qualification (TQ), BC or Interprovincial
• Certification (BC or Interprovincial) in welding Levels A, B or C would be an asset
• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license
• Physically capable to perform the work
• Ability to function successfully in a crew environment
• A strong commitment to safety, WorkSafeBC requirements and safe working practices
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Well established computer skills

• This location is eligible for a Remote Incentive of 20%. Remote Incentives are paid bi-weekly to Full-Time Regular

employees working in eligible remote locations

• This location is eligible for Travel Incentive. The Travel Incentive is extended to Full-Time Regular employees who are

working in eligible remote locations

• This location is eligible for Extended Health Care Medical Travel Benefit. The Extended Health Care Medical Travel

Benefit is extended to Full-Time Regular, Part-Time Regular and Full-Time Temporary employees who are permanently

working in eligible remote locations.
