About Us
At Recycling Partners of Jamaica (RPJ), we’re driving sustainability island wide. As a critical player in Jamaica’s recycling movement, we need skilled and dependable Truck Drivers to move recovered plastics from depots to redemption centres and beyond — safely, on time, and with pride.
What You’ll Do
Transport plastic bottles (loose) and baled material between locations across Jamaica Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and perform basic maintenance Ensure all documentation, including mileage, fuel, and load logs, are accurate and up to date Practice defensive driving and comply with GOJ road regulations and RPJ’s safety standards Communicate route updates or delivery delays in real time
What We’re Looking For
Valid Jamaican General Driver’s Licence (minimum 5 years commercial driving experience) A solid track record — minimum 3 years in logistics or similar heavy-duty trucking Basic mechanical awareness and understanding of preventive maintenance A commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism Strong communication and record-keeping skills
Nice To Have
Certificate in Defensive Driving and/or Fleet Safety Experience using digital job tracking systems (e.g., cieTrade)

About Recycling Partners of Jamaica
Recycling Partners of Jamaica is a non-profit organization formed as a result of a private-public sector partnership to build and support national awareness of the need to recycle. And is the designated national recycling entity by the Government of Jamaica.
The organization seeks to support the existing recycling industry, increase employment and improve the environmental footprint of local businesses and individuals by engaging in an initiative branded Recycle Now Jamaica.
The primary objective is to boost the recovery of PET bottles by 35% of the amount placed on the market by the 3rd year of operations. This is an estimated recovery of 4,690 tonnes of PET material.
The partners are the Government of Jamaica and the following private sector firms:

Grace Kennedy Foods and Services Ltd.

Jamaica Beverages Ltd.

Lasco Manufacturing Ltd.

SEPROD Ltd.

Trade Winds Citrus Ltd.
The programme will establish satellite depots in strategic locations around the island to facilitate collection. These depots will receive the reclaimed PET bottles and will bulk and bale them so as to increase efficiencies in handling, storage and transportation. The collectors will be paid on a weight basis. PET bottles purchased from collectors will be weighed, baled and shipped overseas for further processing.
Recycling Partners of Jamaica is seeking to work with NGOs, Foundations and other entities with a track record for recycling and environmental management. It is seeking to access groups and individuals who can boost the recovery rate of the PET bottles throughout the island.
