About Us Founded in 1959, Haebler Construction is a leading general contractor specializing in residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments. We are known for our commitment to quality, modern design, attention to detail, and timely project delivery. Our clients include top architectural firms across BC and Canada, as well as government and educational institutions
About The Haebler Group
The Haebler Group is a General Contracting Company which carries out large and small residential, commercial, institutional and mixed-use projects. The company is especially renowned for its quality concrete work, quality finishes, fair dealings, and schedule performance.
Haebler is a fully accredited general contracting company with a longstanding tradition of delivering high quality construction projects in BC. Our services typically include Pre-Construction Assistance, Design Assistance, Project Budgeting, and Construction Management through to provision of lump-sum contracts.
Haebler began in 1959 with an initial focus on schools, parks board projects, and custom homes. Through the 60's and 70's we gradually took on larger projects, including the Physical Education Centre at UBC , library additions at SFU, and many types of social and market housing, including the False Creek Redevelopment project in Vancouver.
In the 1980's we undertook such major works as the Taghum Bridge near Nelson, the snow sheds at Rogers Pass, the German, Mexican and European Pavilions at Expo 86, and numerous high-rise residential projects throughout Vancouver.
Major projects undertaken in the 90's included the Bower Building, the Cambie Gardens Housing Development (opposite City Hall in Vancouver), the Raven Woods Projects in North Vancouver, various high end private homes, renovations to the heritage Randall Building at 555 West Georgia, and various commercial buildings, such as the Sun Sui Wah Restaurant, Royal Ascot Care Centre and various renovations to the Vancouver General Hospital.
In the new millennium we saw a focus towards new and challenging architectural designs. A sample of projects completed includes the Waterfall Building (designed by Arthur Erickson), the Lore Krill Housing Co-op, the Liu Centre at UBC, and The Lumiere. Many of our 1990 and post-2000 projects can be viewed, along with interesting project details, in the PORTFOLIO section of our website.
