About the role
Type of position: Étudiant
Your future role on our team The Environmental Technician will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionals on a number of diverse projects that could be occurring concurrently. The Technician will be responsible for assisting the team in conducting environmental assessments and providing support to regulatory applications. The ability to work with Project Managers and the team is critical to the position. Both office and field work will be required to support project needs. The position may require some overnight travel and possibly shift work, depending on project schedules.

- Support for vegetation, soil, wetland and wildlife assessments
- Support for soil and groundwater sampling and monitoring
- Support for fish salvage and construction monitoring
Work Plans and Reporting
- Assist with compilation and analysis of field data
- Report writing
- Assist with work plans and cost estimates
Business Support
- Marketing and business development
- Proposal preparation
- Support to Safety Management program

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
- Enrolled in a college or university program related to the environmental field
- Eligible for professional designation in an Alberta Professional College
- Highly motivated and self-starting work ethic
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Must possess a valid Alberta driver’s license
- Asset: Intermediate computer skills in MS Office Suite and knowledge of GIS software
