Harvest Operations is currently recruiting a Application Support Analyst reporting to the Team Lead, Information Technology. The Application Support Analyst owns the full lifecycle, licensing, and integration of core business applications. This role balances vendor management, L2 technical support, and cross-system integrations to ensure optimal software performance. This is a permanent full-time position based out of the Calgary Corporate Office.

Deliver high-quality Level 2 (L2) technical support and act as operational backup for tier-1 helpdesk and basic infrastructure tasks when needed. Identify and fix the root cause of recurring problems to prevent future occurrences. Own the complete deployment, maintenance, and upgrade lifecycle for core business applications. Manage and maintain integrations across large apps, reporting tools, and SCADA-adjacent systems, working with the IT Infrastructure team to keep our main systems efficient and reliable. Ensure support processes are consistent, documented, and easy to replicate. Manage the data lifecycle, including cleaning up and moving old data during system upgrades, and perform regular checks to keep information accurate. Maintain clear standards for how data is handled and governed across the company. Serve as the primary point of contact for software vendors, overseeing licensing compliance, usage tracking, and the renewal pipeline. Act as the bridge between business units and tech teams to ensure software meets actual work goals. Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Field teams to understand and improve their workflows. Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for developers. Assist with software testing (UAT), user training, and creating simple how-to guides and SOPs. Lead efforts to automate manual tasks and improve overall system efficiency. What are we looking for Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3–6 years of experience in application support or IT support roles. 2–4 years of proven experience supporting large apps or operational systems. Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Experience navigating software licensing agreements, vendor management, and renewal negotiations. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, specifically change and release management. Basic understanding of APIs and web services (REST/SOAP) to troubleshoot data flow between integrated systems. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies. Our ideal candidate will also have: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Experience with documenting business and technical requirements, user guides, and training materials. Self-drive, organizational skills, and be capable of managing multiple priorities. Active interest in seeking out opportunities to learn and develop knowledge. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Strong understanding of business process improvement and system optimization.
