Position Summary

Greet and provide directions to customers as they enter the yard and verify all customer orders as they leave the yard, ensuring they were able to find everything on their list. The wage range is $20.50 - $23 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities.
  • Compare receipt to product in customers vehicle to confirm the correct product was loaded/charged.
  • Verify customers leaving the yard were able to find everything on their list.
  • Greet and provide directions to customers in order to ensure they locate what they are intending to purchase.
  • Process returns (filling out return slips/verifying product is in saleable condition)
  • General housekeeping/odd jobs (sweeping, assembling products e.g. wheelbarrows/hand trucks)
  • Practice and promote workplace safety standards.
  • Assembly of yard items
  • Provide superior Customer Service
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A broad knowledge of building supplies
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (Ability to speak, read and write in English)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as team.
  • A positive can-do attitude is essential.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Sitting, standing, kneeling for extended periods of time
