Position: Senior Android Application Developer
Type: Full-Time
Location: 67 Toll Rd, Holland Landing ON L9N 1H2
Salary: $70,000-90,000

Your Greenworks Career – What you’ll do
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle for multiple small to large-scale IoT-connected mobile projects, supporting applications that interface with Greenworks smart tools, battery platforms, and connected ecosystems.
- Design, develop, and support user-focused mobile applications on Android and cross-platform using React Native.
- Lead the full stack and lifecycle of mobile applications from brainstorming and prototyping through to execution and release.
- Develop complex software solutions that enable seamless interaction between mobile apps and IoT platforms (BLE, MQTT, cloud APIs).
- Mentor other developers by sharing expertise in mobile best practices, React Native patterns, and IoT integration.
Your Greenworks Career – What you bring
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or at least 5 years of experience working in software development environments.
- Mobile Development: 3+ years of Android mobile application development experience.
- React Native Expertise: Strong hands-on experience building apps with React Native, Redux, TypeScript, and modern mobile frameworks.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for native Android development.
- Good understanding of C/C++ code, with ability to adjust and extend code where needed for performance improvements or bug fixes.
- 5+ years of experience in front-end Android applications.
- Experience building IoT-integrated mobile apps, leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), REST APIs, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Router for hybrid mobile app development.
- Strong knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Practical experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams.
- Fluency in Jira/Confluence with advanced user-level skills.
