Reservations & Royal Service Agent
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, all guest service has the potential to create a lasting memory when it is delivered with warmth and sincerity. Be an ambassador for our brand as a Reservation & Royal Service Agent, where the engaging and anticipative service you provide over the telephone will make our guests feel valued and reflect the exceptional hotel experience to come.
This is a full-time, seasonal position.
Starting Rate of Pay: $21.50 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.90
Job Duties Include:
- Provide an easy, efficient and consistent one stop service for guests and colleagues allowing seamless operational efficiency behind the scenes
- Assist all external and internal callers and redirecting if/when necessary
- Take ownership of the guest’s request and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards
- Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System
- Sell guestrooms, tee times and Food & Beverage reservations to groups and individual callers
- Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
- Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities
Qualifications
- Previous customer related experience required
- Previous Front Office or Reservations experience is an asset
- Previous Property Manager System experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Opera Cloud is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Professional telephone manner and demeanor with a natural response "smile" on the phone
- Demonstrated numerical aptitude with strong selling and assertiveness skills is a must
