Instructor, Nurse Re Entry Program (Term Part-Time)
Nursing

POSITION TYPE: Various Part-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated December 15, 2025 up to August 21, 2026)

SALARY: $34.54 - $54.16 hourly

  • The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $3,000 or $6,000 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

ELIGIBILITY LIST: This competition may be used to establish a 6 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for future vacancies.

DUTIES
Reporting to the Chair, Specialty Programs, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for Instructors to teach in the Nursing Re-Entry program. Course topics include chronic conditions, acute care management and instruction for skill labs. Duties will include online classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, formative and summative student evaluation, student advising, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. The incumbents will facilitate practical and applied learning, provide meaningful feedback informed by extensive nursing experience at a BN level, and ensure an active and engaging learning environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Of Nursing; Diploma in Nursing combined with relevant work experience
  • Currently licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) with College of Registered Nursed Manitoba in Manitoba or eligible for registration as an RN in Manitoba
  • Recent and relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to teach on campus and remotely
  • Able to work independently as well as in small group settings
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post secondary level
  • Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work overtime
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
  • This position may be required to work remotely in a virtual classroom setting.
