Job Summary Full Job Description Our client is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Project Estimator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, interpreting blueprints, and working closely with on-site Foremen to support seamless project execution. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of construction processes and proficiency with estimating software tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret project blueprints and schematics to create precise cost estimates.
- Use estimating platforms such as Esticom and Bluebeam to produce detailed estimates.
- Work collaboratively with Foremen and the client throughout all project stages.
- Prepare complete bid proposals and present them to clients or internal leadership.
- Manage assigned projects to achieve profitability targets while consistently delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Develop detailed financial reports, including cash-flow projections.
- Support sales efforts by maintaining and developing sales information to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Provide clear direction and communication to team members to ensure objectives are met.
- Track and report all financial elements of projects, including subcontractors, material costs, coding, forecasting, and billing.
- Coach and support employees through ongoing professional development, weekly team huddles, and GSR meetings.
- Ensure all staff and subcontractors communicate professionally and appropriately with customers.
- Contribute to a positive, healthy, and engaging workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a comparable role in the construction industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail for accurate estimates, projections, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team and client collaboration.
- Background in project management required.
