About the role
Agricorp is looking for a Program Auditor to join the Risk Management team in the Corporate Services division. Agricorp’s Risk Management department reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is a dynamic, professional team responsible for corporate strategy, emerging and operational risk management, program audits, re-insurance and execution, and monitoring of other risk management strategies for the organization.
The Role
Reporting to the Team Leader of Risk Management, the Program Auditor will perform producer audits of customer records, including but not limited to ensuring compliance of customer eligibility and program payment decisions. As a Program Auditor, you will ensure that systems and processes are in place to support effective audits both in the field and in the office. In this role, you will:
- Plan, conduct, coordinate, and lead multiple program audits of varying complexity to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements and integrity of program payment decisions
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with divisions across Agricorp, especially with all levels of Program Delivery, to exchange and clarify complex audit and producer information
- Keep current on industry trends and practices related to audit, agriculture and Agricorp’s programs and share knowledge with department and organization
- Champion process changes within the Program Audit team and implement new procedures as appropriate
- Maintain and manage working relationships with producers and their agents by providing information and ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit processes
- Manage client expectations and anticipate information needs, soliciting feedback from customers and recommending ways to improve customer service as necessary
- Mitigate risk and maintain Agricorp’s brand reputation through adherence to and compliance with legislated requirements
- Travel within Ontario may be required

Salary range: $70,757 - $83,243
Work status: Full time in office
Location: Must live in Ontario to perform this role
Qualifications
- University degree in accounting, finance or equivalent work experience
- Experience in financial analysis and auditing or agriculture/Agricorp administered programs
- Demonstrated experience in communicating sensitive information and recommendations to diverse and senior audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- CPA designation an asset
- Experience in public sector an asset
