Job Description Amaris Consulting is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Migration Architect to lead and drive large-scale ERP migration initiatives for enterprise clients across Canada.
In this strategic role, you will design and oversee end-to-end migration architectures , ensuring excellence in technical delivery, data integrity, and integration across systems. You will also play a key leadership role by coaching and mentoring project teams , fostering technical excellence, and promoting consistency in migration best practices.
Core Responsibilities Migration Architecture & Delivery
- Design end-to-end migration architectures from legacy ERPs (AX, NAV, SAP, Oracle, etc.) to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Lead data migration strategies, including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation using tools such as DMF, Azure Data Factory, or Scribe.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected principles.
- Define integration patterns using Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and APIs to ensure seamless interoperability with third-party systems.
- Conduct solution reviews and gap analyses, providing clear recommendations for migration paths, optimizations, and customizations.
- Ensure all migrations adhere to best practices in security, performance, and governance.
Coaching & Team Enablement
- Mentor and coach functional consultants, developers, and junior architects throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Deliver internal training sessions on D365 F&O migration best practices, performance optimization, and upgrade strategies.
- Foster knowledge sharing and standardization of migration methodologies across projects.
- Support career growth and development of team members through hands-on guidance and constructive feedback.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of ERP experience, including 4+ years on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Proven experience leading full lifecycle D365 F&O migration projects.
- Strong expertise in data migration, X++, LCS, Power Platform, and Azure integration services.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management in D365.
- Demonstrated experience coaching teams and delivering technical enablement sessions.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent cloud certification)
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a client-oriented mindset.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Bilingual (French and English) – strong asset for Montreal-based projects.
