About the role

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated BCBA ® who is eager to make a difference? Are you passionate about working with diverse clients facing various behaviour challenges? CBI Home Health has an exceptional opportunity for you to meet these goals while being supported by one of the largest healthcare networks in Canada. CBI Home Health, Specialized Community Services, is growing and we are looking to add a BCBA to our team. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for working with our ABAs and RBT™s to implement applied behaviour analytic interventions for youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental and behavioural challenges.

  • PART TIME HOURS AVAILABLE**

As a Behaviour Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, monitoring, and supervising ABA interventions for youth and adults. The clients supported are diagnosed with ASD, other DDs, as well as having other learning and behaviour needs. Your clients will consist primarily of youth and adults. Experience with adults and managing severe problem behaviour is an asset. Experience consulting to and collaborating with community partners in group homes and/or hospital settings is also an asset.

Your Role

  • Assess client needs and caregiver priorities
  • Conduct Functional Analyses in residential settings
  • Provide training and regular feedback reviews for front-line staff
  • Lead team meetings and work collaboratively with caregivers and other professionals
  • Develop and update Behaviour Service Plans (BSP) as required in accordance with current legislation
  • Maintain knowledge in current evidence-supported practices
  • Supervise graduate students pursuing BCBA certification and other ABA students (e.g., BST/ABS)
  • Supervise and mentor Supervised Behaviour Therapists

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
  • At least 3000 hours post BCBA® certification (i.e., 2 years of full-time work as a BCBA with children/youth and/or adults with ASD)
  • Registration through OAP as a service provider (or willing to register).
  • Valid driver’s license and daily access to a vehicle
  • Current Broad Sector security police check
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field with ABA coursework
  • Experience with conducting Functional Analyses and functional behaviour assessments
  • Experience administering acceptable curricular assessments
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required
  • Experience in the Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis sector is an asset
