Our team…
The Advanced Design group leads the conceptual studies and preliminary design of all new products at Bombardier. The team is also heavily involved in research projects covering various new technologies that will shape the future of aerospace.

During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • Participate in the preparation of comparative studies between Bombardier products and associated competitors.
  • Develop various aircraft models (performance, geometry, etc.) of existing or potential new competitor aircraft.
  • Contribute to specific technical analysis of Bombardier products in comparison to competitors.
  • Develop tools to facilitate competitor aircraft modeling and conceptual design efforts of Bombardier products.

During your internship, you will learn:

  • The details of Bombardier products and how they compare to competitors
  • The key characteristics of business aircraft and the market dynamics of business aviation
  • To use different technical programming languages, scripting tools and development environments.
  • How to participate in competitive intelligence activities and the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts.
  • To work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplines.

What we are looking for:

  • You show a keen interest in aerospace.
  • You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program.
  • You have completed at least two years of the program.
  • You have completed at least one class in aircraft performance or stability & control.
  • You are motivated, curious and independent.
  • You are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office.
  • You are familiar with various programming languages (preference for Python).

  • Location: Administrative Centre (CA)
  • Duration: 8 months
  • Flexible workplace-Hybrid

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
