You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities. We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Site SMP Superintendent to join our team.

About The Role

  • Provide construction input to the construction planning process prior to site mobilization, in particular cold weather considerations.
  • Effectively manage assigned onsite activities in the delivery of projects to ensure the successful delivery of the project; constructed on time, to budget and in accordance with Ausenco objectives.
  • Ensure that the site runs according to project plans.
  • Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve construction deadlines.
  • Support the Construction Manager and lead an on-site team of supervisors and technical support personnel in completing the assigned scope.
  • Manage the construction work in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.

About You

  • Degree in engineering or a technical trade background.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial aspects of construction contracting including the management of changes and variations.
  • 15 years or more of EPCM / EPC experience including supervision of contractors and field personnel either with an EPC / EPCM organization or a Construction Contractor background.
  • Experience working on process plants and mining projects is a must.
  • Significant experience in the construction environment and a thorough knowledge of all phases of construction is essential to have.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to get the best out of our on-site construction sub-contractors by being supportive and doing whatever we can to assist them to be successful.
  • Cold weather construction experience is mandatory for this role.
