About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established not-for-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership during a maternity leave coverage. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting executive decision making, and ensuring sound financial stewardship across a diverse portfolio of operations. Your Responsibilities You'll lead the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial strategy. You'll provide timely financial reporting and present meaningful insights to senior leadership and governing committees. You'll strengthen financial controls, governance practices, and regulatory compliance across the organization. You'll oversee audit activities, risk management initiatives, and the ongoing development of financial policies and procedures. You'll mentor and support a team of finance professionals while fostering collaboration and accountability. You'll build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple locations, including occasional travel to community sites.

Skills and Qualifications 6+ years of progressive senior financial leadership experience. CPA designation in good standing and a university degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, audits, and financial reporting. Experience within the not-for-profit sector is considered a strong asset, although candidates with a blend of private and not-for-profit experience are encouraged to apply. Professional working proficiency in both English and French, including the ability to communicate effectively in writing and conversation. Proven leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and team development experience. Comfortable working within a faith-based organizational environment and engaging respectfully with diverse community stakeholders.
