We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Maintenance Coordinator. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will require candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off (days and nights) 12-hour rotation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receives daily work assignments/instructions from the Shift Supervisor.
- Consistently and diligently practices workplace safety.
- Operates refueling and lubrication equipment, as assigned.
- Enters daily information such as equipment refueling/lube checklist with information such as amount used and times.
- Performs and documents daily pre-operational, mid-day and post-operational safety and maintenance checks and as required by changing job conditions.
- Operates fuel and lube trucks safely and efficiently as assigned and according to relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and work plans.
- Informs Supervisor and/or Dispatcher and maintenance department of any requirements for maintenance or repair by completing and signing equipment inspection form.
- Cleans inside of operator's cab on all equipment that he/she has been assigned to operate during shift and particularly at the end of shift. Cleans outside of equipment as required.
- Ensures all equipment that was assigned, is safely and securely stored.
- Participates in routine fueling and maintenance of mine heavy equipment, such as refilling lubricants, coolant, oils, etc. Conducts minor repairs/maintenance of mine heavy equipment including but not limited to lights, mirrors, blades, adapters, wear caps etc.)
- Follows all environmental and safety policies as well as policies outlined in the employee handbook.
- Performs all other duties assigned by supervision while demonstrating an authentic team player attitude.
- Routinely makes informed judgment calls and performs work in the best interest of the business.
- Other duties/assignments given by the Shift Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Related experience on similar equipment (Fuel trucks, lube trucks, vacuum trucks etc.)
- Fuel truck experience preferred.
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts, 7 on, 7off (days and nights).
- Possession of WHIMIS (will train inhouse).
- Possession of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (will train inhouse).
License:
- Holding a valid commercial class license (class 1 or class 3).
