School is an Early Learning to Grade 5 school. Our 25 staff provide service to approximately
240 students from the Town of Taber and surrounding area.
1.0 FTE Temporary Teacher-
Grade 4/5 combined
Central School is seeking a temporary grade 4/5 Teacher for a combined grade level classroom commencing the 2026-2027 school
year. Central School is a collaborative space where staff work with one another
within a holistic, student-first approach.
The school will have four (4), Grade 4/5
classes next year, allowing for much collaboration. This specific position is
within our dual track of the Low German Mennonite stream. An understanding of
this unique culture and Christian religious values is imperative. A willingness
and ability to teach faith-based programming, including bible instruction, is
preferred.
Teacher education and experience specific to
English Language Arts and/or Numeracy would be considered an asset. Training,
experience or professional development in other areas could include, but is not
limited to: working with English as Additional Language Learners, Literacy Interventions
and new curriculum implementation.
An understanding of inclusion and the
ability to implement and support diverse, complex learners would be seen as a
strength.
The position
commences
August 20, 2026, and concludes June 29, 2027.
