Position Summary

Under the clinical supervision of a Psychologist, the Psychometrist will complete comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized psychometric tools inform treatment plans, diagnostic formulation, access funding sources, and make recommendations for families, schools, and communities. The Psychometrist will provide non-diagnostic assessment information to clients and families and will monitor trends and developments in evidence-based practice.

Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

Hourly Rate/Salary

Minimum $34.13 to maximum $41.52 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year Bachelor of Psychology with specific coursework in Psychometrics
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
  • Experience in behaviour management and the ability to work with children and youth with complex needs, diagnoses, and mental health challenges.
  • Knowledge of a full range of psychological assessment techniques and how to correctly interpret scores and test results
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of programs and services available to clients at the agency and in the community
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide:
    • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
    • A valid class G Ontario driver’s license and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
    • Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates
