About the role
NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and testing of all packaging
- Ensure packaging compliance with client, industry, and transportation regulations
- Maintain packaging related documents
- Act as program manager on projects
- Support Warehouse foot printing, material flow, and storage enhancement projects
- Keep work area clean and tidy following 5S principles
- Follow all job specific processes and safety policies at all times.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in product design or mechanical engineering, with a specialization in packaging design.
- 3+ Years of experience in packaging design and development.
- Proficiency using Computer Aided Design programs, MS office, Web based applications and portals.
- Highly organized and detail orientated.
- Must be able to manage frequent interruptions and multiple tasks daily.
- Experience in fast paced, manufacturing facility.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of racking and racking systems considered an asset.
