Position Summary

We are seeking anOccupational Health Nurseto join our team, supporting a client site in London, Ontario. In this full-time, on-site role (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week), you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including health promotion, injury and illness management, and disability case management.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage all occupational (WSIB) claims, including documentation, form submission, and status updates
  • Coordinate return-to-work and work reintegration plans for occupational and non-occupational (STD/LTD) cases
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic employee health records
  • Monitor and follow up with employees experiencing work-related illness or injury
  • Manage the Medical Surveillance Program in collaboration with a physician
  • Conduct fit-for-duty assessments, immunizations, pulmonary function testing (PFT), respirator fit testing, and audiometric screening
  • Prepare and report occupational health metrics as required
  • Provide health and wellness support, including referrals where appropriate
  • Partner with Environment, Health & Safety to support ergonomic assessments and workplace accommodations
  • Deliver emergency response care (First Aid, CPR, AED) and follow-up
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on treatment planning
  • Lead and support workplace wellness and mental health initiatives
  • Educate employees and management on occupational health and safety topics
  • Advise on physical and mental health concerns in the workplace
  • Support disease prevention initiatives (e.g., fitness, nutrition, smoking cessation)
  • Assist in investigating workplace exposures and health risks
  • Partner with business leaders to reduce disability-related costs
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification

  • Experience in disability case management

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including:

  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Act

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act

  • Human Rights legislation

  • Duty to Accommodate

  • Employment Equity Act

  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

What Will Help You Stand Out (Assets)

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-C)
  • Experience in occupational health nursing
  • Certification in audiometry and pulmonary function testing
  • Experience with travellers’ immunization protocols.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
