What is the opportunity:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible to support the office in providing exceptional customer service to Energy Safety Canada’s stakeholders, which include students, instructors and clients. Provide support for the day to day administrative responsibilities of the office. Work in unison with staff and directly participate in assigned projects and programs.
What will you do:
- Assistwith the overall daily operations of the Fort St. John Office, including responding to clients’ inquiries via phone, email or in-person, scheduling meetings asrequired, and handling financial transactions.
- Assistwith arranginglogisticsfor any meetings, workshops or courses that are hosted in the FSJ area, including room bookings,audioand IT equipment, catering, etc.
- Works on assigned inter-departmental initiatives to support department priorities, asrequired.
- Assistin the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties asrequired
What you need to succeed:
- At least 2 years post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent.
- An interest in developing Safety knowledge isdeemedan asset.
- 1+years’ experience working in an administrative role
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint,Outlookand SharePoint)
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent Customer Service and relationship-building skills, with an attention to patience and professionalismrequired
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts,practicesand procedures within an office environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skillsrequired.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Data entry experience with a focus on accuracy and troubleshooting an asset
