Quality Control Supervisor
About the role
Role Description The Quality Control Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Joliette, QC. This role oversees daily quality control activities, ensuring that all ingredients, dough preparation, cooking processes, and finished products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Control Supervisor develops and implements quality assurance procedures, monitors compliance through inspections and testing, and documents findings and corrective actions. This role includes supervising and training team members on quality and sanitation protocols, coordinating with kitchen and operations staff to resolve quality issues, and analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. The supervisor also collaborates with management to update standards, supports audits, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and food safety.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead, train, and motivate team members while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Candidates should possess Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills to design, implement, and monitor procedures that maintain consistent product quality and regulatory compliance. Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify root causes of issues, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions. Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills or basic testing competencies to perform and understand food safety checks, product sampling, and documentation. Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in food service or food manufacturing, knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP principles), strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. A diploma or degree in food science, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is preferred.
