Location: Burnaby, BC
Our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to join their growing team in Burnaby, BC.
Key Responsibilities
Design power distribution systems. Perform arc flash studies and electrical system analysis. Design medium and low voltage MCCs and switchgear. Prepare equipment specifications, schematics, datasheets, and construction work packages. Provide field support during testing, commissioning, and system start-up. Support procurement activities, including vendor document reviews and bid evaluations. Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver successful engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC. Minimum 7 years of consulting engineering experience. Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection and control systems, and grounding design. Experience with 600V+ electrical systems. Proficiency in single-line diagrams and load calculations. Experience specifying and procuring LV/MV equipment and switchgear. Hands-on experience with ETAP, including short circuit and arc flash studies. Strong understanding and application of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Ability to work independently while managing assigned project scopes.
