#####Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Northern Health.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the position uses independence and initiative to plan, organize, implement and evaluate professional nursing care for clients of all ages with chronic, acute, palliative or rehabilitative health care needs in community settings. Services include assessment, direct medical-surgical nursing care, case management, health teaching, support consultation, liaison and referral in a case management context; ensuring that the nursing model of client self-care and health promotion framework is maintained; participate in the administration of all Acts and Regulations applicable to nursing functions; may assign care to and supervise other staff.
**Shift Rotation/Hours of work:**Days, Evenings, 07:30 to 18:00, 13:30 to 22:00 (rotating)
A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPRs) are starting in B.C.! Interior Health, alongside B.C.'s other health authorities, is implementing mNPRs as a transformative staffing initiative that aims to improve the working environment of nurses in order to provide better quality care to our patients.
#####Qualifications

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

Two (2) years recent acute medical /surgical nursing experience.

Class 5, BC Driver’s License – will be required to provide own vehicle for work purposes.

Previous community experience an asset
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent organization, coordination and interpersonal relationship skills.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Computer skills (email, word processing).
