About Calgary Aggregate Recycling
Calgary Aggregate Recycling (CAR) is a Calgary-based soil washing and aggregate recycling facility committed to responsible environmental construction practices. Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Water Truck Driver to join our team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water trucks in support of site dust control, compaction operations, and general facility needs. This is a hands-on, site-based position requiring a dependable professional who takes pride in their work and upholds our core values of being Hungry, Committed, Willing to Learn, and Help First.
Key Responsibilities

Operate water trucks (typically 4,000–8,000 gallon capacity) for dust suppression, road maintenance, and compaction support across the facility and active work areas

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete daily inspection reports

Monitor water levels and coordinate refilling as required to maintain continuous site operations
-
Follow all site-specific safety rules, environmental protocols, and traffic management plans

Communicate effectively with site supervisors and ground crews to prioritize watering activities

Perform basic preventive maintenance and report mechanical deficiencies promptly
-
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and inspection findings

Support other site operations as directed, including light equipment tasks if qualified
Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Alberta Class 3 (or Class 1) driver's license with a clean abstract — air brake endorsement (Q) required

Minimum 2 years of experience operating water trucks or similar heavy equipment in a construction, aggregate, or industrial setting

Strong understanding of dust suppression techniques and site watering best practices

Ability to work in all weather conditions typical of Calgary and southern Alberta
-
Familiarity with Alberta OHS regulations and commitment to a safety-first culture
-
COR-certified company environment — experience working within a COR or equivalent safety program is an asset
-
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Working Conditions

Outdoor, year-round site environment — subject to varying weather conditions
-
Standard hours with potential for overtime during peak operational periods
-
Physical demands include climbing in/out of equipment, monitoring fluid systems, and occasional manual tasks
