The Opportunity
We’re looking for a reliable, personable Host team member to be the first point of contact for guests at Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub. You’ll set the tone for an outstanding guest experience while ensuring safety, smooth entry, and efficient floor operations. The ideal candidate combines excellent customer service, calm decision-making, and strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic pub environment.

What You Bring to the Table
- Positive attitude and passionate about Making People Happy.
- Customer service focused – you’re always looking for ways to go above and beyond.
- Ability to keep a calm and cool composure.
- Excellent communication with team members and guests.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- 19+ years old.
- Serving it Right certified.
- Hospitality experience is an asset.
Your Days Will Look Like
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, high-energy first impression.
- Manage entry flow, queues, and guest capacity to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Verify identification and enforce all liquor laws and venue policies.
- Monitor the floor and entrance area, maintaining awareness of guest behaviour and overall safety.
- Support service flow by assisting clearing/resetting tables, bussing, food running and helping the bar and server team as needed.
- Professionally address guest concerns and confidently de-escalate situations when required.
- Promote Après Passes and TAG experiences to enhance guest engagement.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned to support venue operations.
