About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for afternoon shift – a skilled individual that supports our goal in finding a better way. The Maintenance Technician Support’s primary goal is to ensure manufacturing equipment runs with stability and as efficiently as possible. Technicians are expected to take a proactive viewpoint and demonstrate continuous learning to self-evolve. This role identifies and implements process improvements that positively impact quality and production efficiencies.

What You Will Do

  • Support daily equipment calls. Ensures the operation of Mechanical and Electrical systems on all equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and preventative maintenance processes, which include documentation and maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Assists in creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.
  • Parts sourcing - Quote initiation, vendor negotiations, part specification
  • Equipment programming and set up for manufacturing to ensure product specifications are met. Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication if necessary.
  • Be proficient with vision systems, (specifically Keyence) sensor selection, and automation trouble shooting.
  • Be willing to take on new challenges and experiences, work well in a collaborative team environment, possess strong communication and organizational skills,
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency through elimination of waste in the operation through process improvements, program changes, cycle time, etc.
  • Solve problems with permanent countermeasures to avoid reoccurrence.

What We Need

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Technician/Technologist or Megatrontronics
  • Ability to work with PLC’s specifically Omron and Allen Bradley
  • Knowledge of CNC programming would be an asset
  • 2 years Manufacturing or Automation Experience
  • Working abilities with vision systems
  • Valid Driver’s License to travel between sites
  • Must have own tools

Hourly Wage Range: $35.00 - $38.00
