Business Line: Group Retirement Services Hours Per Week: 35 Location: Ontario – Kitchener preferred - Hybrid Setting Details: Full-Time, Permanent Position, Current Vacancy Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. About the Role We’re looking for a VP to take a leadership role for the Defined Contribution Retirement practice for NFP Canada. The VP will lead a team of Consultants and Account Managers and collaborate with other NFP colleagues. The VP will report to the SVP for group retirement and be an inspiring leader in the industry. The VP will be responsible for client retention satisfaction, and growth working with their team of Consultants and Account Managers. What You’ll Do Act as the subject matter expert as well as provide leadership and guidance to Group Retirement team members ensuring that deliverables are accomplished within the local office(s) and that they are complete, accurate and conform to NFP standards Analyze and interpret the strategic direction of the Group Retirement division and organization with a clear understanding of the vision, mission, values, and objectives to develop responsibilities, tasks, goals, and initiatives that align with long-term plans and growth. Support team knowledge sharing, process improvements, and service standards across the retirement consulting practice Mentor and support each team member to grow their career and develop their skills to help them meet their career objectives Be the Lead Consultant for a block of clients Develop and maintain relationships with key client stake holders and carrier representatives. Serve as the lead on complex or escalated client issues or assignments, providing direction to junior team members as needed Provide leadership for strategic business development and corporate planning issues on major business decisions; networking & developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build awareness of benefit services. Work closely with internal service, operations, and leadership teams to deliver a seamless client experience Act as a subject matter resource for peers on plan governance, best practices, and complex client scenarios Support team knowledge sharing, process improvements, and service standards across the retirement consulting practice What You Bring College or university graduate, or equivalent business experience Committed to delivering a top-notch client experience Valid LLQP (will be required to obtain within one year of employment date if not already in place) Completion of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation (RPA) an asset Typically, five years’ experience within the group retirement insurance industry, preferably within customer service or account management. Strong oral and written communications skills Strong knowledge and experience related to group plan investment options/plans (i.e., pensions, RRSPs, DPSPs and TFSAs) Excellent listener and communicator with project management, presentation and negotiation skills A positive attitude and works well as a member of a team Strength in application of computer skills; including Word, Excel; Power Point and Outlook Strength in quality, detail-orientation and mathematical aptitude Commitment to providing excellence in client service experiences Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity while maintaining exceptional client focus and strong professional acumen Who We Are NFP, an Aon company, is a multiple Best Places to Work award winner in Business Insurance who has also earned the 5-Star Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) award from Insurance Business magazine and the WORK180 employer endorsement.
