The Role
As the Email Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role within the Growth Marketing team, working closely with the Growth & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to execute email and SMS campaigns, automated programs, and lifecycle marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate with creative and strategy teams to bring campaigns to life and ensure flawless execution across channels.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working within email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo and Attentive.
Location: This is a hybrid position based at MEC’s Vancouver Head Office. You’ll be required to work onsite a minimum of two days per week.
As the Email Marketing Coordinator, you’ll:
- Own and maintain the email and SMS campaign calendar, coordinating with content and design teams
- Conduct QA and testing across devices, ensuring accuracy in copy, links, and design
- Coordinate end-to-end deployment of email and SMS campaigns
- Execute A/B tests, monitor performance, and make iterative optimizations
- Maintain segmentation lists, manage unsubscribes, and support deliverability best practices
- Compile and track campaign performance metrics and insights
- Support loyalty and retention strategies through targeted communication initiatives
- Conduct research on retail email marketing trends and competitive benchmarks
- Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting with observations and recommendations
What you bring:
- 1–2+ years of experience working with email/SMS marketing platforms (Klaviyo strongly preferred)
- Understanding of segmentation, list management, and campaign analytics
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to QA your own work
- Comfortable working within templates; basic HTML knowledge is an asset but not required
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
- Knowledge of Canadian anti-spam compliance (CASL) is an asset
The Compensation & Perks
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with an anticipated hourly rate of $28 - $30 per hour. The exact rate will be dependent on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, location, qualifications and internal equity.
