Fall Camp Counsellor
Location: Easter Seals Camp Horizon, Bragg Creek, AB
Dates: October 24 – 26, 2025
Paid Training: Thursday, October 23, 2025
Compensation: $120 per day

Easter Seals Alberta is a provincial not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to provide services that foster inclusion, independence, and recreation for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions.
Easter Seals Camp Horizon, located in beautiful Bragg Creek, specializes in creating accessible and inclusive camp experiences for individuals with disabilities. Our fall program offers campers a weekend of adventure, friendship, and fun — and we need enthusiastic Camp Counsellors to help make it happen!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all campers and staff.
- Lead and assist in facilitating recreational and social activities.
- Provide personal care as needed (mobility assistance, feeding, etc.).
- Promote camper participation through positive encouragement and “Challenge by Choice.”
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience.
- Support campers in day and evening programming, including overnight supervision as needed.
Your Skills And Experience
- Enthusiastic, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or medical needs (an asset, but not required).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay positive and flexible in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Previous camp or recreation experience is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Live and work onsite at Camp Horizon during the camp weekend.
- Active work environment—on your feet and engaging with campers throughout the day.
- Work in all types of weather and outdoor conditions.
What We Offer
- $120 per day for each day worked.
- Paid training session on Thursday, October 23.
- Meals and accommodations provided for the duration of camp.
- A meaningful experience working with an incredible team to make a real difference.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be 18 years or older by the start date.
- Must be available for all camp dates and training day.
- Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required prior to the start date.
