Description Transit Driver Cold Lake Bus Lines is currently hiring Transit Drivers - casual positions available.
Casual drivers typically work at least one weekday shift (3 hours) and Saturdays (4.5 hour midday shift or 10-hour split-shift). Additional hours may be available depending on business demands. Saturday availability is required. We offer competitive wages, with pay starting at $23.81 per hour, ongoing training and development, and a family-oriented team environment. Position Requirements
- Class 1 or 2Q driver's license
- Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 1 year)
- Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points
- Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening
- Clear criminal record
- Must be organized, punctual and reliable
- Possess excellent driving skills and habits
- Ability to read maps and navigate (familiar with Cold Lake and surrounding area)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as necessary
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes
- Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions
- Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries
