Join our team as a Millwright Apprentice (3rd or 4th Year) and gain hands-on experience while supporting our skilled maintenance team. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly by performing preventative and corrective maintenance and assisting with project work that drives Dufferin Aggregates’ success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of equipment such as conveyors, pumps, pneumatic systems, compressors, and boilers
  • Participate in project work and annual shutdown activities
  • Help remove outdated or unused equipment as directed
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and report deficiencies to the supervisor
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including PPE use and Lockout/Tagout procedures

Requirements:

  • Registered as a 3rd or 4th Year Millwright Apprentice under the 433A trade
  • Progress toward completion of apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification
  • Basic welding, cutting, and brazing skills (additional training provided)
  • Familiarity with hoisting and rigging practices (asset)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for pumps, fans, blowers, and gear drives
  • Ability to work in varied conditions (outdoors, heights, confined spaces)
