About the Role: Academic Customer Success Specialist
We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Academic Customer Success Specialist based in Colombia/Peru to work under a consultant/contractor agreement with our Canadian company. This is a 100% remote position. As we evolve our service model away from reactive technical ticket-handling and into high-impact advisory partnerships, this role focuses on proactive client management, program coordination, and data-driven enablement. You will act as a strategic partner to our clients, leveraging data insights to improve product adoption, drive satisfaction, and uncover new opportunities for educational success.
The specialist will be responsible for
Proactive Client Management & Strategy: Transitioning away from reactive support to build long-term strategic relationships, anticipating client needs, and guiding institutions toward maximum platform value and success. Program Coordination: Overseeing and coordinating the implementation of language programs, aligning internal resources, and ensuring seamless execution across client accounts. Data-Driven Insights: Analyzing client data and reporting using Excel to uncover key usage trends, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and develop actionable plans to improve service and product adoption. Proactive Innovation: Bringing forward creative ideas, recommendations, and strategic opportunities to continuously enhance the client experience and service delivery. Client Enablement & Training: Conducting onboarding sessions, continuous training, and creating client-facing enablement materials (such as guides, presentations, and resources). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Product, Marketing, and IT teams to share client feedback, champion the customer voice, and resolve elevated account challenges collaboratively.
Qualifications
Degree in Language Education, Pedagogy, or a related field. 2+ years of hands-on academic or teaching background combined with customer service experience. 2+ years of B2B SaaS customer success or account management experience, specifically focusing on post-sales engagement and proactive retention.
Demonstrated experience in academic program coordination
Strong proficiency in Excel (handling data sets, generating reports, and translating raw data into actionable business insights) and PowerPoint. Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills with a passion for educational technology.
This role is 100% remote however some travel may be occasionally required to visit clients. We are looking for someone in Colombia or Peru, ideally in a large city such as Bogota or Lima.
Compensation
Salary Expectation: $900 - $1100 USD / month (Consultant/Contractor agreement).
