About the role

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain a database of historical costs and vendor pricing
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
  • Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with internal team and external stakeholders to price and communicate change requests

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in HVAC systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methods, and building codes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
