About the role
Human Resources Director
North Bay, Ontario | 100% Francophone Work Environment
You could earn $10,000 more a year in a big city and be miserable. Or, you could earn a highly competitive salary, lead the HR department for an 80-employee organization, and live just 10 minutes from a lake.
What if your next career move was also your greatest life project? 🌲🏞️
Trade the traffic jams for hiking trails, crowds for wide-open spaces, and endless commutes for quality family time. North Bay offers a rare work-life balance in a safe, affordable, and nature-surrounded community.
And you don't have to give up your Francophone culture. At Les Compagnons des francs loisirs, you will work in a fully Francophone environment, contributing to the local community, while naturally perfecting your English in your daily life. The ultimate best of both worlds.
More Than a Job: An Opportunity to Build
We aren't looking for someone to simply manage files or apply existing policies. We need a builder. With nearly 80 employees across multiple sites, our organization is growing and evolving. Reporting to the General Manager, your influence will be highly visible.
You will
Drive Strategy & Change: Develop a modern HR vision, optimize structures, and lead organizational transformation. Guide & Empower: Coach managers through daily challenges, talent development, and employee retention. Ensure Compliance: Oversee labor relations, risk management, and ensure strict compliance with Ontario employment laws. Develop Talent: Overhaul recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training programs.
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR leadership role. Strong working knowledge of Ontario labor laws. Perfectly bilingual (French and English, both written and spoken). Asset: Proven experience in change management and organizational development.
What We Offer
A true life project: Exceptional quality of life in a welcoming, human-scale community with endless nature at your doorstep. A smooth transition: Possibility to start remotely to give you time to organize your relocation stress-free. Competitive package: Salary between $84,177 and $92,913, pension plan, and comprehensive benefits. Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week).
Is it the right time to slow down your pace of life without slowing down your career?
We would love to chat. Send your application in complete confidentiality to: etouzin@humanify360.com
