Here is what you will do

We are currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Service Technician for our Cranbrook, BC location. The Service Technician (ST) will be responsible for transporting, delivering, and installing homecare equipment, including oxygen cylinders, to patients and institutions while ensuring the safe operation of the company vehicle and providing outstanding customer service. Additionally, the ST will deliver quality patient care by educating patients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the equipment, all while adhering to Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada’s safety and quality practices.

  • Support team members to satisfy internal and external customers.
  • Comply with vehicle policies and highway regulations.
  • Ensure safe supply and transportation of gases to clients' homes.
  • Inspect vehicle before and after use; document inspections.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle stocked with necessary PPE, safety equipment, and tools.
  • Deliver products according to schedule and client needs.
  • Set up homecare equipment at patients’ homes and provide training to new clients.
  • Educate clients on equipment function, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform technical checks and review safety instructions with clients.
  • Maintain documentation for technical visits, including equipment exchanges and deliveries.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on medical equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Manage workflows for equipment requiring additional service.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including stocking supplies and cleaning patient equipment.
  • Document client care and services with clear, accurate delivery records.
  • Maintain client confidentiality as per policies and regulations.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Seek continuous improvement in branch operations through quality initiatives.
  • Comply with certification requirements and recommend actions to management.
  • Provide after-hours service as part of the on-call rotation.
  • Support remote patient assessments with healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team for effective product and treatment use.
  • Participate in safety meetings and initiatives to promote a safe working environment.
  • Ensure correct loading and unloading of the vehicle in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Here is what you will need

  • Health professional considered an asset
  • Care Aid Certification considered an asset
  • College Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (verbal and written) in English
  • Basic computer / tablet skills
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of respiratory home care equipment preferred; ability and willingness to learn and understand homecare equipment used by patients
  • Basic mechanical/repair skills
  • 2-3 years of consecutive recent driving/delivery experience
  • 2-3 years Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualification and other job-related reasons. This is a union position with a wage of $30.40 per hour and opportunities for advancement.
