Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000

Position Purpose: The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for strategic sourcing of indirect goods and services within the Supply Chain spend categories such as Transportation (LTL/FTL, Linehaul), Home Delivery (First mile / Last mile, Car/Van), Small Parcel Delivery, Warehousing, Distribution, Reverse Logistics, etc. This person will be held accountable for specific goals and objectives in support of the overall departmental metrics of cost out, spend penetration, and delivery of strategic corporate projects with a sourcing mandate. The individual will need to closely coordinate with business areas to identify sourcing needs and opportunities for each category. The individual in this position is responsible for evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing the contracts, tracking compliance with contracts and measuring supplier performance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assess sourcing opportunities and supply markets in order to develop, implement and institutionalize various sourcing strategies. Also work with business areas to define their sourcing needs and identify suppliers to meet their requirements.
- Utilize formalized Sourcing best practices, including consistent negotiation, supplier identification, RFx standards and procedures. Identify cost saving alternatives, monitor performance and suggest improvements.
- Negotiate for products and services within the assigned categories ensuring THD's specifications and quality for the best value are met and establish supplier contracts.
- Establish and maintain standard rate cards for negotiated supplier contracts. Track market benchmark rates.
- Manage supplier relationships, collect supplier data and analyze supplier performance.
- Monitor and report savings and performance metrics.
- Track compliance with negotiated supplier contracts and resolve issues pertaining to non-compliance.
- Identify category-related strategy savings opportunities (e.g. category specification rationalization, demand rationalization)
- Develop and support a strategic alliance with business partners. Participate in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage.
- Follow up continually on purchase orders, vendor service, delivery schedules, and product quality.
- Provide direction to Sourcing Analysts as necessary. Set and review performance expectations for Sourcing Analysts.
Experience/Knowledge Required:

Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements

Category knowledge in one or more areas of Supply Chain such as transportation, first mile, last mile, small parcel, courier, warehousing, distribution, reverse logistics, etc.

College degree in business or other related area or equivalent years of experience.

Experience with one or more Sourcing technology suite such as Ariba, Coupa, Keelvar, etc.
-
3-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management and performance.

Broad-based sourcing experience with multiple categories of indirect goods and services.

Deep experience in managing sourcing/procurement activities CPM certification is a plus.

Knowledge of sourcing best practices including reverse auctions, on-line bidding, supplier performance score-carding.

Ability to solicit cooperation and function as a team member.

Ability to interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management.

Project Management experience.
