Job Purpose
As a Delivery and Setup Driver you will have a number of duties working with customers and other members of the dealership, to prepare, deliver, and set up customer motorhomes and travel trainers.
Duties and Responsibilities
RV Delivery
- Transport RVs: Safely deliver RVs to customer locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow the best route for delivery while considering road conditions, traffic, and RV size.
- Ensure Safety: Drive the RV in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while prioritizing safety for yourself, others on the road, and the RV.
Set Up and Installation
- Site Setup: Set up the RV at the customer's designated location, including leveling the RV using cinderblocks, deploying slides, and connecting utilities such as water, electricity, and sewage.
- Inspection: Inspect the RV before and after setup to ensure all systems (water, electrical, HVAC, etc.) are functioning properly.
- Customer Demonstration: When necessary, walk customers through the RV?s features and operations, such as how to use appliances, water systems, and entertainment systems.
Customer Interaction
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being polite, professional, and responsive to customer needs or questions during delivery and setup.
- Address Concerns: Listen to customer concerns about the RV and resolve any issues or escalate as necessary.
Maintenance & Equipment Handling
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Equipment Care: Ensure all necessary equipment (leveling tools, electrical cords, hoses, etc.) is available and in good condition for the setup process.
Documentation & Reporting
- Paperwork: Complete necessary paperwork for delivery, setup, and customer receipt of services.
- Condition Reports: Document any damage or issues with the RV at the time of delivery and setup.
Safety Protocols
- Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety protocols when delivering and setting up RVs, including securing the RV during transportation and maintaining safety standards during setup.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate any additional equipment such as RV jacks, generators, or other tools needed for setup.
Other duties as assigned, to assist with day-to-day dealership operation
This role will include working outside and driving for a significant portion of the day and is therefore exposed to all weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
