YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

You will be reporting to Supervisor Maintenance, and you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Consistent with Maintenance Department Classification Guideline
  • Responsible for the maintenance of mine equipment and facilities to insure their maximum contribution to the safety, quality and productivity of the operation.
  • Assembles, adjusts sets-up, lubricates, and maintains/repairs all types of mining equipment.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints while carefully following manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Carries out working orders related to the preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance plan of the operation.
  • Equipment removal, installation, alignment, line boring, weld and repair.
  • Ensures that the work areas, equipment and work practices comply with the regulatory codes, statutes and company requirements.
  • Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and the activities within the department.
  • Integrate environmental consideration into daily activities/ tasks/etc throughout all areas and phases of our operations: conduct business in such a manner to prevent and mitigate negative environmental impacts
  • Strive to continually improve our operations environmental performance and management, both with reporting and corrective actions
  • Comply with all environmental policies and procedures
  • Carry and lift including overhead up to 30Kg (as capable)
  • Occasional push/pull
  • Constant standing
  • Frequent walking over uneven ground, both up and down gradient
  • Frequent working in awkward positions – squatting, kneeling, bent over, reaching
  • Occasional stair / ladder climbing
  • Occasional neck postures
  • Hand use in confined spaces and with tools
  • Occasional driving over uneven ground
  • Working with heavy objects of awkward dimensions
  • Working at heights
  • Night Shift – Fatigue management
  • Environment conditions can be: hot, humid, wet, dusty, cold. Lighting is restricted. May be excessive noise. Airflow is artificial.
  • Ground conditions may be wet, muddy, slippery, sloped inclines, loose rocks and other obstacles on the ground.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Other Departments of the Mining operations (eg Mining, Surface Support)
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma required.
  • Machinist License required.
  • Experience reading & understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Line boring and repair experience.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
