YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Underground Engineering Coordinator, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that departmental goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.

  • Lead daily morning meetings, coordinating with operations and technical teams.
  • Track and report daily KPIs to monitor production performance and identify plan compliance & improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, approve and maintain development plans to support underground mining operations.
  • Design levels and layouts ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Provide relief for weekly planning during 3-Month Rolling (3MR) cycles, as required.
  • Utilize Deswik Ops for scheduling and operational planning tasks.
  • Participate in optimization projects aimed at improving productivity and reducing costs.
  • Conduct regular field visits to verify compliance with plans and gather operational feedback.
  • Provide relief for 3MR planning during vacation periods or as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or College Diploma in Mine Engineering/Technology;

  • 3+ years of experience in underground mining;

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and mine design software (Deswik is considered an asset).

    Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
