Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd. Toronto, ON We are looking for an Information Security Intern to join our team for 4 months (January-April 2026) . The Information Systems Security Team is responsible for security risk assessment, security policies and controls, security monitoring, threat hunting and investigation. What You Will Do
- Evaluate opportunities to automate information security processes and implement solutions where feasible to enhance operational efficiency.
- Design and deploy a centralized Information Security hub using SharePoint to streamline access to security resources.
- Transform the existing Information Security Management (ISM) policy into structured SharePoint pages optimized for AI processing.
- Develop and implement an AI agent using Copilot Studio, trained to respond to standard security-related staff inquiries.
- Assess and refine data sources to support the creation of new security metrics and reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to API-based integrations that enable secure and scalable access to security-related data products.
- Gain familiarity with current Email Security and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives and support the enhancement of detection use cases.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents through analysis of alerts, logs, and threat intelligence cases.
- Continuously monitor cybersecurity trends and incorporate both external and internal threat intelligence into operational practices.
- Establish and document standardized procedures for security operations to ensure consistency and compliance.
What You Bring
- Foundational knowledge or coursework in security, IT, or networking.
- Currently pursuing a degree in cybersecurity or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis, cleanup, and API-based integrations.
- Basic knowledge of email security, DLP, and encryption standards.
- Familiar with security standards and frameworks, such as ISO, NIST, SANS, and CIS.
- Comfortable working with and learning new technologies. Experience using SharePoint/PowerShell/Copilot studio is a bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Passion for technology and keep up with the latest information security trends.
- Related entry/intermediate level information security certifications are a bonus but not mandatory.
