Role: Senior Backend Engineer (Python) Location: On-site Job Type: Contract Payout: $40 - $120/hour
Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing and implementing scalable backend systems to support high-traffic applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and related frameworks.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale applications.
- Implement and maintain APIs, databases, and microservices architecture.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments to ensure uptime.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
- Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Experience with RESTful API design and integration with frontend systems.
- Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and query optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple priorities.
