What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a sharp, resourceful Strategy & Operations Associate to help Phoenix run smarter and scale faster. You’ll support senior operators on high-impact projects, turning data and insights into clear plans, processes, and recommendations.

This role is perfect for someone early in their career who loves problem-solving, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to learn how a fast-growing company operates behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Assist senior team members in breaking down complex business problems and building structured frameworks, models, and insights to guide decision-making.
  • Leadership-Ready Materials: Help prepare presentations, briefs, and analysis for leadership discussions, planning cycles, strategic reviews, and board-level conversations.
  • Market and Competitive Research: Conduct research on competitors, digital health trends, regulatory changes, and market opportunities to inform strategy and early decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling Support: Assist with financial models, scenario planning, and forecasting with guidance from Finance and Operations leads.
  • Project Ownership: Own execution of smaller strategic or operational projects from start to finish, partnering closely with senior leaders on scope, planning, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Systems: Build and maintain documentation, SOPs, strategy briefs, and operational tools that improve how teams collaborate and execute.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Support company-wide initiatives by coordinating across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure alignment and on-time delivery.
  • Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Use Google Sheets or Excel, and ideally SQL or BI tools, to analyze datasets and extract insights that influence decision-making.
  • Dashboard and Reporting Support: Help design lightweight dashboards and produce recurring reports that keep teams and leadership informed.
  • Clear and Actionable Communication: Present findings in a simple, structured, and action-oriented way for internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and partner with senior team members to develop scalable solutions.
  • Workflow Optimization: Contribute to process mapping, documentation, and workflow redesign across departments to improve how teams operate.
  • Business Fundamentals: Apply a solid understanding of accounting principles to support financial accuracy, forecasting, and strategic analysis.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 0–3 years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, finance, analytics, or a related field. Experience in tech, healthcare, or startups is a plus but not required.
  • Structured Thinker: You enjoy breaking down ambiguous problems, building frameworks, and synthesizing information into clear insights.
  • Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable working with spreadsheets and analyzing datasets. Experience with SQL, BI tools, or financial modelling is helpful but not required.
  • Strong Communicator: You can translate complex ideas into simple narratives. Your written and verbal communication is clear, concise, and tailored to your audience.
  • Organized and Reliable: You manage multiple workstreams, keep projects on track, and maintain high attention to detail in fast-moving environments.
  • Collaborative and Reliable: You work well across teams, ask thoughtful questions, and actively seek to understand how different parts of the business fit together.
  • Bias Toward Action: You are proactive and resourceful. You take ownership, drive projects forward, and enjoy building new processes or improving existing ones.
  • Comfort With Ambiguity: You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can adapt quickly as priorities shift.
  • Business Fluency: You bring a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial concepts that help you support modelling and strategic planning.
  • Interest in Digital Health: You are curious about the telehealth and digital health landscape and enjoy learning about new trends, competitors, and opportunities in the space.
