The plastic injection molding production manager plans, organizes, and oversees all production activities to ensure that plastic parts are manufactured in accordance with quality, cost, and deadline requirements.

Production Management :

• Schedule production orders based on priorities and machine capacity

• Ensure the proper operation of injection molding machines and peripheral equipment

• Optimize cycle times, mold changeovers (SMED), and productivity

• Monitor performance metrics (OEE, scrap rate, yield)

Team management:

. Supervise operators, technicians, and team leaders

• Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels

• Train staff on processes and best practices

• Foster a positive work environment and ensure effective internal communication

Quality and continuous improvement:

• Ensure that products comply with standards and customer specifications

• Analyze defects (flash, sink marks, burn marks, etc.) and implement corrective actions

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives

• Collaborate with the quality and maintenance teams

Maintenance and Technical Support:

• Coordinate with preventive and corrective maintenance teams

• Participate in the production ramp-up of new products (setups, mold testing)

• Optimize injection parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling))

Cost Management:

. Control production costs (raw materials, energy, labor)
. Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency

• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or plastics engineering

. Experience in a molding manufacturing environment (5 years)
. Experience in team management.
